General Guidelines for the administration of contrast:

  • Post operative spines
  • Evaluation of neoplasia
 
Can be authorized by:
  • W.S.I.B. - Ontario Workers Compensation Board
  • Insurance Companies
  • CSST
  • other third party insurers, call us for details
 
If a third party (i.e. W.S.I.B., Insurance Company lawyers, etc.) will be paying for the MRI examination, we require authorization from them prior to performing the MRI.

Payment Options

Ottawa Valley MRI Centre in Gatineau/Hull is a private clinic. The costs of our MRI scans are not covered by provincial medical plans.

Patients paying for their own exam will be advised of the costs at the time of scheduling their appointments.

If your MRI exam is being covered by a 3rd party (i.e. Provincial Workers Compensation Board, insurance company, corporation) we require a written authorization prior to performing the examination. All MRI scan fees are tax exempt and the costs are income tax deductible.

We accept Visaâ„¢, Mastercardâ„¢ and Debit cards only. (No personal cheques are accepted). There are no sales tax on medical services.
